This is the first time the singer has spoken out during the court case investigating her rape allegations against her producer Dr Luke.

Kesha's message read: "a million times over and forever thank you. the support I have received has left my face swollen from tears. I love you all so much. A statement too large for this format is coming…."

Kesha is seeking to be released from her contract with Sony records after accusing producer Dr Luke of the crime. The court ruled last week against her, but the trial is ongoing.

Lena Dunham has added her voice to the A-listers who have publicly shown their support.

In Lena's latest Lenny Letter e-newsletter she talks about how she felt "sick" when she heard of the ruling.

The Girls creator wrote: " The photos of Kesha's beautiful face crumpled with tears...What's happening to Kesha highlights the way that the American legal system continues to hurt women by failing to protect them from the men they identify as their abusers."

Meanwhile, a Kesha fan has started a crowdfunding campaign to help buy her out of her contract with Sony. The GoFundMe page allows fans to donate what they can to the pop star's cause.

Add that money to the $250,000 (£175,000) Taylor Swift gave to Kesha and fingers crossed she will be able to continue to fund her legal battle.
